.01 TUDOR PRESERVATION IN GENEVA
.02 TUDOR PRESERVATION INTERIOR
This well-designed but tiny and dilapidated 1920’s Tudor in Geneva, Illinois, became a case study in historic preservation and energy efficiency, thanks to a forward-thinking, community-minded owner. The interior gut remodel allowed effective air sealing and insulation while preserving existing windows and exterior materials. The addition allowed updated function and increased space; in Geneva’s Preservation Awards comments, the jury applauded the sensitivity of the addition’s design and the project’s overall efficiency improvements.
